The Miser Project Is Being Refactored/Preserved on GitHub.

Migration to new servers introduces a number of problems that require repairs.  In addition to those defects, some older pages also need to be modified and reorganized for consistency across The Miser Project on GitHub organization.  While the site is being preserved to accomplish both kinds of improvements and adjustments, you may notice discrepancies and problems with links to site content.  There is also
refactoring underway to blend the separate GitHub orcmid/miser material in alignment with narrative presentations and documentation.

Check the latest Site Preservation Project pages for additional details on the known defects and the approach to correction and upgrade.  Construction Zones will also have information that is specific to particular parts of the construction structure.

Note: This material is being transposed from miser-theory.info and early portions of the GitHub repository for continuation at The Miser Project on GitHub.  This is intended for preservation and also upgrading to the current approach being undertaken with the Miser Project.

The following description of the scaffolding and construction arrangement is adapted from the original site.   Although developed in an independent GitHub project, the docs/ folder of the Miser Project is blended into (anchored by) the overall orcmid.github.io site automatically.    Note that a hybrid HTML/Markdown approach is being used and it may be easiest to examine the project using a web browser and recording any issues and suggested changes in reference to the content-as-browsed, not by pull requests against hybrid and HTML content.

You're at the entry level of the Miser Project web site, https://orcmid.github.io/miser.  This top level of site content is referred to as the front porch of the site.  All public content is reachable by entry through the front porch, whether by browser navigation through links or by use of a URL that specifies a path deeper into the site.  For the in-progress development reflected in the GitHub orcmid/miser software repository, it is necessary to access https://github.com/orcmid/miser.

This Construction Structure is the scaffolding on which the useful content and other web resources are organized.  Every accessible folder on the site can be found by navigation of the construction structure.  Some of them, such as this one, have a companion Construction Zone that is used to hold work items and details of that point of the construction structure and it subordinate construction structure.

This web page is part of the engineering, construction management, maintenance, and infrastructure--the document engineering--of the Miser Project web.  You are welcome to explore this and other construction-information pages.   You'll need your hard hat and safety shoes.

If you'd prefer reading about the Miser Project instead of admiring the scaffolding, materials, and construction equipment on the site, go directly to the Miser Project entrance section.   If that doesn't work, return later.  Projects can be blocked off whenever the construction crew is blasting in the area.
